It s a dream job." Eubanks Says Bye Bye: It s a wrap for Tonight Show bandleader Kevin Eubanks after 18 years of backing up host Jay Leno. Bidding Eubanks farewell on Friday s show, Leno said, "I don t think we ve ever had an argument." The other five members of the Tonight Show Band will also be leaving with Eubanks. Eubanks performed as Leno s comic sidekick and guitarist. The 52 year old had been aboard since Leno took over NBC s Tonight in 1992. Eubanks became Dallas Clark Jersey musical director when Branford Marsalis left in 1995. In April, Eubanks announced his plans to depart, explaining he wanted a career change of pace. Life After Idol: American Idol winner Lee DeWyze and runner up Crystal Bowersox said on Friday they look forward to their new lives after finishing the hit TV show, and they both described being on Idol as exhausting work. As we saw in last week s premiere, dental salesman Craig of Sarnia, Ont., and Toronto entertainment wrestler Justin have faced much criticism from the other guys as they try to win the affections of Ali Fedotowsky.
